SEO – Go local.
If you are a local brick-and-mortar business, local SEO can help elevate your presence online when someone searches for your business’s service. Did you know that 1 in 3 searches on a smartphone are conducted just before arriving to a store? Also, data shows that 78% of local-based searches on a mobile device end in purchases being made offline.
PPC – Automation rules.
With the ability to personalize ad creative, reduce customer response time, and reduce errors, businesses in a variety of industries are automating workflows using new technologies to increase profits and enhance workflows. The time to invest in marketing automation tools for your digital marketing efforts is now. Spending on marketing automation tools is expected to reach $25.1 billion annually by 2023.
Content Marketing – Listen up.
40% of Americans have listened to a podcast and 45% of those podcast listeners have a household income of over $75,000 a year. Podcasts continue to grow in popularity, and if your target buyer includes higher-income families, then consider including podcasting in your content marketing strategy.
Social Media Marketing – What’s the story?
An astounding 500 million people around the world use Instagram Stories on a daily basis (with that number rapidly growing by the minute). With 80% of users following businesses on the platform, it’s not surprising that 1 out of 3 of the most viewed Stories are stories from businesses.
Video Marketing – Watch as video spending reaches new heights.
Advertisers are planning to spend 25% more on video on digital platforms in 2019. According to recent data from the Interactive Advertising Bureau, nearly 66% of digital ad budgets are allocated to video. Surprisingly, that spend is split fairly evenly between mobile and desktop.
Email Marketing – Google gives email a facelift.
Since its inception in 1972, email has been a static, unchanging form of communication, but that’s about to change with AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) for Email. Google is working on a new standard for interactive emails that will allow you to embed videos, interactive content, and forms directly into eBlasts, removing another step between a user opening an email and taking the desired call to action. The new standard will be supported by Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Outlook, and others and will also include HTML as a fallback to support email clients who don’t already support AMP for Email.
